Instead of using hard to understand, database driven URLs such as (http://www.yourcart.com/index.php?p=product&id=97&parent=20) you can set your cart to generate search engine friendly flat URLs like: (http://www.yoursite.com/products/product_name.html). This helps you with search engine optimization and direct page linking. Additionally, it ensures your pages are indexable by search engines. Some search engines will not index pages with a URL that doesn't appear to be a static page.

The checkout system supports both CVV2 (3-4 digit Security Code) and AVS (Address Verification) in conjunction with your payment gateway. This feature reduces fraud by making sure that the customer has the card present during the transaction and verifies in real time the shipping and billing addresses with the address found in the issuing banks database. Depending on the gateway you select, the cart also supports "Verified by Visa" through Cardinal Commerce.
