Shopping cart options

Featured cart: Advantagecom Easy Merchant Shop
Advantagecom Easy Merchant shop is by far the best available shopping cart. It is a paid option, but when you consider the time savings over installing and customizing a free solution, it is well worth the price. Includes an optional web based website builder for those that want to build their web site around their store. For details, please click here.

Shopping carts included with CPanel based WebPro accounts
Six different free shopping carts are available with CPanel based WebPro accounts. For details, please click here.

 osCommerce
osCommerce is a free open source shopping cart packed with features. It runs on any system that has PHP3 or PHP4, MySQL, and Apache installed. Highly recommended if you are familiar with installing and configuring scripts and you don't want to pay for a commercial solution. Does require some HTML coding for best results. For more information about osCommerce, click here.

 phpShop
As of 8/5/2007, it is free. It should run on any system that supports PHP.  For more information and a demo of phpShop, click here.

Hundreds of Other Shopping Carts Can Be Used (Search Google.com)
There are literally hundreds (if not thousands) of different shopping cart systems that can be used on our servers. Some are free, many are inexpensive, and they offer wide ranges of feature sets. Simply do a search at Google (use the link above). If you have a Universal Pipe account, you'll want one that will run on a FreeBSD server without root access. You can use a search like "freebsd shopping cart" to get plenty of choices. Universal Pipe accounts support PHP (safe mode *on*), PERL, and FreeBSD native binary programs. MySQL is also supported on the Universal Pipe accounts. MDH and VDS/VPS accounts support PHP, MySQL, PERL, and Linux native binary programs. VDS/VPS accounts have the added flexibility of running whatever Linux compatible software you are willing to install. Other account types support PERL based shopping carts and will require a shopping cart that will run on Linux or Cobalt RaQ servers.  If your account is on a Cobalt RaQ 3 or RaQ 4 server, ASP/PHP and MySQL are also supported.

Questions?
If you have doubts about whether a particular shopping cart will run on your account, please contact our support department by emailing support@advantagecom.net .  If you are not yet a customer and have questions about shopping carts, please contact sales@advantagecom.net .  Please, check with us before purchasing any shopping cart software for use with your account.  We are not responsible for any expenses or losses you incur due to incompatible software.
